EXTECH INSTRUMENTS RECEIVES ASTM APPARATUS APPROVAL FOR WATERPROOF EXSTIK® pH METERS
ExStik® Models PH100 and PH110 approved in Standard D4262-05
Extech Instruments, a major supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, has received ASTM apparatus approval for its Waterproof ExStik® pH meters. Models PH100 and PH110 are approved for use in the Standard D4262-05, the Test Method for pH of chemically cleaned or etched concrete surfaces. Approval was provided by ASTM International.
This particular standard test method is used to determine the acidity or alkalinity of chemically cleaned or etched concrete surfaces. If residual chemicals are not completely removed from concrete prior to the application of a coating or flooring system, the performance and adhesion of the coating or flooring may be adversely affected. By using this standard test method, the pH of the rinsing water is measured to determine if the residual chemicals have been removed.
Extech’s approved pH meters are the only stick style pH meters with flat surface electrodes. They measure pH in liquids, semi solids and solids, and feature a digital readout with an analog bargraph displayed on an LCD. Renew indicators monitor calibration and tell the user when its time to replace the electrodes. Their waterproof design allows them to float in water and protects them in wet environments.
The PH100 and PH110 with refillable electrode have 1, 2 or 3 point calibrations and can record/recall up to 15 labeled readings. They feature simultaneous displays of pH and temperature, and have automatic temperature compensations. They also include a data hold, auto power off and low battery indicator. Each meter comes complete with a flat surface pH electrode, a protective sensor cap, a sample cup with cap, four SR44 button batteries and a 48 inch neckstrap.
