EXTECH INSTRUMENTS ANNOUNCES NEW FIBER OPTIC POWER METERS

 

New Link Certification and Reporting Tools

 

Extech Instruments, a major supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, announces its new series of Fiber Optic Power Meters, the PM200, PM100-S and PM100-G. These unique devices are capable of both single mode and multimode operation and are ideal for testing and troubleshooting of active fiber optic devices, and measuring direct optical power.

 

Extech’s PM200 features a 65dB dynamic range and has a 1mm Germanium photodetector with a 2.5 mm universal adaptor (ST, SC and FC). It stores up to 100 data points and features a simple four button operation. It also has a large, easy to read backlit LCD display.

 

The PM100-S and PM100-G have a 55dB dynamic range and a 7­­- segment LED display of power in dB and dBm. The PM100-S has a 1mm Silicon photodetetor, while the PM100-G has a 1mm Germanium photodetector, both of which include a 2.5 mm universal adaptor (ST, SC and FC).

 

Extech’s new Fiber Optic Power Meters come complete with an NIST certificate, a 9V battery and a protective rubber holster.
