EXTECH INSTRUMENTS OFFERS THREE DIFFERENT MOISTURE METERS FOR FAST, ACCURATE MEASUREMENT

 

Easy-to-operate, Convenient Meters Calculate Moisture Content of Range of Materials

 

Extech Instruments, a major supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, offers a new line of moisture meters providing fast, accurate measurement of the moisture content of wood and other building materials. The series includes: the MO400 Pin-Free Moisture Meter with Memory; the MO 300 Pin-Free Moisture Meter; and the MO100 pocket-size Moisture Meter.

 

Extech’s MO400 Pin-Free Moisture Meter with Memory non-invasively provides % moisture content and % RH and features 32 memory locations for measurement storage. Ideal for use on a range of materials, including wood, wall board and plaster, the MO400 can measure the moisture content in approximately 200 varieties of wood and five building material groups. It measures moisture from a depth of 1.2” to 2” (30mm to 50mm), calculates 0 to 98 percent relative humidity and uses high frequency dielectric constant technology for capacitance measurement.

 

Extech’s MO300 Pin-Free Moisture Meter quickly and non-invasively indicates the moisture content of wood and building materials. Its moisture content display corresponds to % moisture of the material being tested, and the unit features a measurement depth to 1.25” (32mm) below the surface.

 

The MO100 Moisture Meter is Extech’s pocket-size meter with adjustable, multi-position pins. Measuring a convenient 7.6” x 0.8” x 1.8” and weighing just 3.8oz, the MO100 also features a uniquely convenient dual LCD that simultaneously displays wall moisture (0-100) and air temperature (-32º to 122ºF or 0º to 50ºC). The MO100 is easy to operate, with a selectable side switch (OFF, Test and Calibrate), Data Hold to freeze readings on the display and calibration adjustment for increased repeatability. Safety storage of replaceable pins is also provided.
