Each year Plant Engineering magazine invites companies to submit innovative products useful to
their subscribers. The
entries are reviewed by a panel of plant engineers who select
the finalists in the product competition. The selected products
are then presented in the November 2003 issue. Readers vote
to select the winners.
The
Extech 470 is unique in that it combines a full function,
autoranging, True RMS multimeter with an infrared thermometer
plus a Type K thermometer making it a highly convenient tool
for safely diagnosing and trouble shooting different kinds
of equipment such as office machinery, computers, plant automation,
and HVAC and electrical equipment.
The RH101 Hygro-Thermometer
measures relative humidity, ambient air temperature, and
surface temperature without contact
(IR). This one of a kind combination is ideal for monitoring
factories,
clean rooms, offices, and greenhouses including those hard
to reach heating and air conditioning vents.
Extech has won
Product of the Year Awards before. We were the first to combine
a multimeter and a thermometer and for that
innovation we were awarded gold in 1989. In 1997 we entered
the CMM15, a combination of a calibrator and multimeter,
and were voted a bronze award. We won bronze again in 1998
with
the True RMS Power MultiMeter, Model 382860, which combined
a multimeter with a power meter.
