Director of Sales
Status: Full Time Employee
Location: Waltham, MA

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to direct our national sales effort for our Instruments Division.

The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of  successful experience selling within a dynamic, competitive and complex environment. This position will require skills in the areas of leadership, organization and time management as well as proven people management skills. Candidates must posses a high level of interpersonal and communication skill.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct the national strategic sales plan annually
  • Evaluate and manage national sales program including Direct Sales Force, Manufacturer Rep Organizations, and Distributor Programs
  • Identifying new sales opportunities for new distributors, key accounts and other channels in the US
  • Generate new revenue through identifying and visiting key target accounts with Regional Sales Managers
  • Develop and manage brand awareness campaigns for distributors
  • Build international channels to grow the business in Canada.
  • Develop and manage 3-5 direct reports
  • Expected travel time is approx. 40%

Requirements:

  • Ten plus years sales experience in a similar business line with extensive experience identifying, setting up and supporting distributor networks.
  • Ten plus years of management experience in a sales organization
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Initiative, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer and telecommunication technology skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree

International Sales Manager
Status: Full Time Employee
Location: Waltham, MA

The primary mandate for the International Sales Manager will be to set up and manage instrumentation distributors in the EMEA and Asia regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and close new distributor prospects in EMEA and Asia
  • Set up, develop and maintain successful sales and marketing programs to build brand and new business opportunities in EMA and Asia
  • Nurture existing distributors through visits, training, new product introductions
  • Coordinate promotions, advertising, trade shows & literature for the regions
  • Train overseas distributors on Extech test and measurement instruments

Qualifications/Competencies required:

  • Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, energized and self-motivated, results- and decision-oriented
  • Three to five years experience establishing channels and selling products in EMEA with existing relationships in the region
  • Oral and written communication in at least two languages in addition to English
  • Candidates must be organized and efficient to move through customer and prospect information
  • Candidates experienced and willing to travel internationally (at least 50%)
  • Candidates must be pro active and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication and foreign language skills
  • Good computer skills

Experience Preferred:

  • Selling portable multi-meters, environmental meters & other electronical and electronic test equipment in EMEA and Asia
  • Setting up and supporting distributors of multi-meters and electronic/electronical test equipment in EMEA and Asia
  • Dealing with WEEE and ROHS
  • Setting up warehousing in Europe

Regional Sales Manager
Status: Full Time Employee
Location: Flexible

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales manager to join our growing national sales team. You will work to build a regional strategy and develop new markets and accounts. Successful candidates will be results oriented, highly motivated and possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive regional strategy to achieve target goals
  • Work with Extech Senior Management and other regional Sales Managers to determine the best model for distribution coverage in assigned region.
  • Develop a strategy to increase mindshare and bookings growth with Key distributors in territory, such as Grainger, Allied, Techni-Tool, Stanley Tool & Supply.
  • Develop a strategy for developing new markets and accounts.
  • Call on senior management of key distributors to develop, refine and discuss business plan for year.
  • Work with Extech Instruments marketing, advertising and sales teams to implement and measure effectiveness of new product introductions, counter days, and pro-active activities designed to create end user sales

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years experience managing large national or regional distributor accounts.
  • Prior success in establishing new accounts.
  • Extensive knowledge of Extech products and the ability to communicate the technical features and sales benefits of these products in a compelling manner.
  • Familiarity with the Electrical/Industrial/HVAC/Electronics industries.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Superior negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Results oriented, creative team player.
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of work week and a quarterly visit to the home office.

International Sales Manager: Latin America
Status: Full Time Employee

We have an opening for an experienced International Sales Manager – Latin America , for the Portable Printer Division. We currently generate more than 50% of our Division revenue in International Markets and are seeking to increase the total revenue in this important Latin American territory. The ideal candidates for consideration will have at least three years experience demonstrating success selling within a dynamic, competitive and complex environment. This position will require skills in the areas of leadership, organization and time management. Candidates must also posses a high level of interpersonal and communication skill. Compensation based on experience and results. Location is flexible for exceptional candidates .

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a successful sales effort with distributor accounts in Latin America ; working with distributors to find large end-user accounts
  • Helping Distributors respond to Government and Business bids
  • Identifying new sales opportunities: for new distributors and for new end-user business working with partner distribution channels
  • Coordinate marketing by distributors through the use of promotions, advertising, trade shows, new product introductions and literature
  • Training overseas distributors on Extech products

 

Requirements:

  • At least three years in a similar environment with extensive experience identifying, setting up and supporting distributor networks
  • The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in at least two languages, which must include English and Spanish
  • Candidates must be organized and efficient in time management to analyze customer and prospect information
  • Candidates must have experience in traveling internationally and willing to spend up to 60% of the time (including week-ends spent on business trips) away from their home base
  • Candidates must be proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates need to demonstrate effective use of computer and telecommunication technologies
  • Must have Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with extensive analytical content
