Extech Instruments, a major supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, announces its new digital psychrometer, Model RH401.  Ideal for HVAC/R installation and repair, mold inspection and remediation, and plant maintenance, Extech’s RH401 features a built-in IR thermometer ideal for non-contact and hard to access surface temperature measurements.

The RH401’s IR thermometer has an 8:1 distance to target ratio with an adjustable emissivity from 0.3 to 1.0. The built-in laser pointer allows the user to quickly locate and measure all surface temperatures including those in hard to reach areas.  The unit’s precision humidity capacitance sensor is retractable to protect it during transportation and storage.  The unit features a data hold and auto power off as well as a built-in RS-232 interface to capture readings on a PC.
